President: Makes sure MRID runs smoothly and follows its policies and bylaws, supports the other board of directors and committee members, and facilitates all board meetings and the annual business meeting. Requirements include a minimum of five years of interpreting experience and holding RID national certification. Membership Director: Supports MRID members by building relationships across communities, maintaining accurate membership records, and working with the Membership Committee to recruit new members and promote the benefits of joining MRID. Programs Director: Supports MRID’s activities and ensures they are in line with the purpose of the organization, provides guidance and oversight to committees hosting events, and helps recruit committee members. Communications Director: In charge of official communications to the membership and the wider community. If the Operations Director position is vacant or that person takes on the President's responsibilities, the Communications Director will take over all record-keeping duties for the organization. |
