2024-2025 MRID Board OPEN Director Positions

BOARD SERVICE INCLUDES

    • 2 year term:  January 2024-December 2025
    • 2 months of mentoring with the previous director in that position
    • Board Retreat (generally in December) for team building and goal setting
    • Networking and relationship building with the interpreting field throughout the state
    • Leadership Development- learning a variety of new skills

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

    • MRID and RID member and remain in good standing throughout the duration of term
    • President must also have at least five years of interpreting experience and hold RID national certification

VOTING

    • Voting will take place online, NOT during the annual Business Meeting
    • Ballots will be emailed to eligible voters and will be sent to the email address listed on their MRID profile
    • Who are eligible voters?  Individuals who are members of both MRID and RID

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (not limited to):

    • Ensures MRID compliance with RID rules and policies, and MRID Bylaws and this PPM.
    • Attends Region III Presidents’ Council meetings.
    • Plans the annual board retreat(s)

    • Keeps an up-to-date Minnesota RID and MRID membership list.
    • Works with the Membership Committee to recruit new MRID members and promote benefits of membership.
    • Attends monthly board meetings and submits monthly reports to Operations Director for minutes
